Prince Harry stayed at late mom Princess Diana’s childhood home during UK visit for uncle’s funeral: report

Prince Harry's abrupt departure from the royal family in 2020 may have strained his relationship with the royal family, but it looks like he still has family he can rely on.

After considering returning home alone just a few weeks ago, the Duke of Sussex attended his uncle's funeral alone in the UK last week, staying completely anonymous.

During the secretive and forgettable trip, Harry stayed with his uncle Charles Spencer at Althorp House, the childhood home of his late mother, Princess Diana. People Report.

Sir Robert Fellowes, who was married to Lady Jane Fellowes, the sister of Princess Diana, and served as private secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II, passed away on July 29. The cause of death has not been disclosed. He was 82 years old.

He was honoured at a memorial service on August 29, just two days before the 27th anniversary of Princess Diana's death.

Princess Diana, who died on August 31, 1997, aged 36, was buried on an island in the middle of Althorp's Round Oval Lake.

In addition to Prince Harry and Prince Spencer, attendees at last week's ceremony were Prince William, 42, and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, another of Diana's sisters.

Both Harry and his estranged brother attended St Mary's Church in Snettisham, Norfolk, but the feuding brothers sat separately.

The funeral marked the first time the warring brothers have gathered under the same roof since the coronation of their father, King Charles, in May 2023.

A source told the Post that Prince Harry was attending the funeral “in a personal capacity” and did not extend his trip.

Prince Harry reportedly remained in close contact with his aunt, cousins and Spencer following his uncle's death.

Prince Harry has maintained a close relationship with the Spencer family over the years, even after stepping down from the royal family in 2020 and moving to the US with his wife Meghan Markle.

The father-of-two met Prince Charles and his wife Jane, 67, during the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Invictus Games in London in May.

Prince Harry was photographed embracing the couple as they arrived at St. Paul's Cathedral for the event, but he did not meet any other members of the royal family during his three-day trip.
