Prince Harry unexpectedly attends Knicks vs. Spurs game alone

Prince Harry Surprises NBA Finals Fans in Texas

On Saturday night, Prince Harry made an unexpected entrance at the NBA Finals in San Antonio, where the Knicks faced off against the Spurs.

He was seen arriving solo, dressed casually in a navy polo, matching pants, and a cap.

Notably absent was his wife, Meghan Markle. Instead, he was accompanied by JP Lane, a U.S. Army veteran and athlete participating in next year’s Invictus Games in Birmingham, England.

Reports indicate that his visit coincided with his attendance at the Warrior Games, having received an invitation from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

Prince Harry and Meghan, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020 after a widely publicized fallout with the royal family, missed the Royal Trooping the Color event in London on the same day.

The Duke of Sussex, at age 41, adds to the lengthy list of celebrities spotted at these Finals games. Knicks fans in attendance included Mariska Hargitay, Ben Stiller, Timothée Chalamet, Kylie Jenner, and Michael J. Fox, all cheering passionately for their team.

Earlier in the week, Taylor Swift had also made a notable appearance at Game 4, donning matching Knicks-themed shirts with Hargitay and the Haim sisters.

This round of playoffs has seen some historic moments, especially with the Knicks securing a nail-biting 107-106 victory in Wednesday’s game, which Hargitay later described as more exciting than previous encounters.

Prince Harry’s surprise attendance came during a bustling summer for him. He recently celebrated his eighth wedding anniversary with Meghan by creating an endearing sculpture of two penguins together, symbolizing their commitment.

Looking ahead, he plans to return to the UK in July to promote the 2027 Invictus Games. While it’s unclear if he will meet his brother, Prince William, sources suggest he is eager to take his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to visit their grandfather, King Charles. However, no confirmed arrangements have been reported yet, as Harry’s primary focus remains on the upcoming Invictus event.
