Prince Louis Turns 8!

Duchess Kate and Prince William marked their youngest son’s birthday by sharing a new portrait on Instagram.

All smiles, Louis posed on a boat, arms crossed in a blue half-zip pullover. It’s heartwarming, really.

“Happy Birthday, Louis!” the couple captioned their post. “It’s 8 o’clock today! 🎈”

Typically behind the lens at family events, Ms. Middleton, who is 44, credited Matt Porteous as the photographer this year.

The couple also has two other children: 12-year-old Prince George and 10-year-old Princess Charlotte.

On this special day, King Charles shared a portrait of Louis on his own Instagram Stories, writing, “Happy birthday, Prince Louis!” Seems like the little one is making quite the impression.

Louis has gained a reputation as quite the lively character, often making headlines with his antics during public appearances. Just recently, he stole the spotlight during a Christmas walk in Sandringham when he swiped a sizable amount of chocolate from his father’s hand, drawing laughter from Prince William.

His playful nature has been evident in the past as well—just think back to May 2023 when he was photographed yawning at Charles’ coronation, or last year during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, when he dramatically covered his ears and screamed at a flyover. Louis is certainly memorable!

Prince William and Kate enjoy teasing their youngest on social media—remember when they joked about Louis having a great time alongside the rest of the family? It’s nice to see these little moments shared with the public.

The couple tied the knot in April 2011, and it seems they’re just as close today. Time really flies, doesn’t it? Louis is growing up fast!
