Prince Jackson Announces Engagement
Prince Jackson, the eldest son of the late Michael Jackson, has shared that he is engaged to Molly Silman after being together for eight years. This joyful news was announced on social media.
The 28-year-old made a heartfelt post on Instagram, which included a touching tribute to his father, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 50.
In his post, Prince chose to set the scene with a slideshow of photos of them together, all against the backdrop of Michael’s 1987 song “I Can’t Stop You.” He added, “I’m eight years behind,” showing a hint of humor amid the joy. “Molly and I have shared so many incredible memories, traveled extensively, and grown together.”
Prince expressed his excitement for this new chapter in their lives, saying they look forward to creating even more amazing memories. The engagement photo showcased the couple in matching white outfits, sharing a kiss in a park, which added a romantic touch to the joyful occasion.
Along with the engagement photo, there were glimpses of their adventures, including hiking, kayaking, and a proud moment from his graduation from Loyola Marymount College in 2019. One picture showed them with his grandmother, Katherine Jackson, outside their family home in Encino, California.
Prince is the son of Michael Jackson and his second wife, Debbie Rowe. While they divorced in 2000, they also have two other children, Paris, 27, and Blanket, 23. He has spoken about honoring his father’s legacy, notably during the 2022 Tony Awards alongside his sister.
Reflecting on his father’s impact, Prince recently mentioned that many people acknowledge Michael’s influence on popular music. He shared his feelings about the complexities of his father’s legacy, saying, “There are so many complexities in life, and I feel like parents are teaching their children…” He thinks about his father daily, emphasizing that a lot of Michael’s personality is expressed through his music, something Prince listens to frequently.
