A Princeton University graduate who was involved in several organizations at the prestigious school, including the leader of the school’s queer alumni association, was arrested Friday on charges of possessing child pornography, prosecutors said.
Roy “Trey” Farmer, 53, was taken into custody after police raided a condominium he owns next to the front door of the Ivy League in Princeton. NJ.com reported.
He was charged with third-degree possession of child sexual abuse material after prosecutors received information that a Mercer County resident had uploaded material depicting child sexual abuse, the report said.
The farmer’s apartment complex was searched by law enforcement on Friday, and investigators seized multiple pieces of evidence in the case, prosecutors said. According to Patch.com.

He was not an employee of Princeton University, but a volunteer, NJ.com reported.
Patch.com reported that prosecutors filed a motion to keep Farmer in custody pending trial, and the hearing in the case was postponed until next week.
