Pringles gives devoted fans the opportunity to show their passion for chips in their final resting place, along with a $28K incentive

Pringles is launching an unusual Halloween sweepstakes that lets one devoted fan take their affection for the brand to the next level — by using a personalized cremation urn that resembles its iconic can.

This promotion, called “once you drop” — a twist on Pringles’ slogan “once you pop, you can’t stop!” — aims to invite fans to showcase their dedication even after they pass away. The campaign kicked off on Tuesday, and honestly, it’s a bit quirky.

The grand prize is quite surprising, even six feet underground.

The winner will receive $28,080, which Pringles claims is enough to keep a chip enthusiast stocked with their products for the next 200 years.

That breaks down to about one can per week for 200 years — or 10,400 cans, though the company is giving away cash instead of arranging deliveries to the grave.

The specialized urn itself is valued at $500, bringing the total value of this package to $28,580.

While this promo might sound a bit out there, it has a real backstory.

Fredric J. Baur, who designed the famous can, was so proud of it that he requested to be buried in one. After he passed away in 2008, his family honored his wishes by placing part of his cremated remains in a Pringles Original container.

Now, Pringles wants to give another fan a chance at a similar, albeit more elaborate, send-off with a precious-metal urn.

They even brought in a real funeral director, known as Dan the Funeral Man, to help promote this giveaway in a lighthearted video.

Mauricio Jenkins, an executive at Mars Snacking, mentioned that the campaign captures “Halloween’s dark humor and Gen Z’s appetite for absurdist storytelling.”

To join in, fans must head to OnceYouDrop.com and fill out a digital “Will and Taste-ament” to express their loyalty to the snacks.

Luckily, this declaration isn’t legally binding — meaning winners don’t have to commit to being laid to rest in a Pringles can.

The official rules even suggest that anyone genuinely considering a chip-can burial consult a lawyer.

The sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents aged 18 and older, with entries closing on Oct. 22.

A winner will be drawn around Oct. 23, with notifications expected around Halloween.

For one lucky fan, this could be a unique opportunity to rest in Pringles.
