Burkina Faso’s Transport Ministry said in a statement that the two injured people were taken to a medical facility and authorities have launched an investigation into the accident.
Photos released by the government news agency showed residents gathered at what appeared to be the crash site, with burnt parts of the plane scattered around.
It was not immediately clear why the plane was unable to take off normally.
