Private sector companies We added 62,000 jobs in April. Payroll processing company ADP said Wednesday.
This figure is significantly lower than the economists' estimate of 115,000 employment from the previous month's 155,000 readings.
“Anxiety is the word of the day. Employers are trying to adjust for the implementation of almost positive economic data and policy and consumer uncertainty,” said Nera Richardson, ADP chief economist. “Making employment decisions in this environment can be difficult.”
The US economy has slowed sharply, shrinking by 0.3% in the first quarter.
Leisure and Hospitality added 27,000 positions and led job creation in April. Trade, Transport and Utilities added 21,000 jobs, Financial activities 20,000 added, and Construction donated 16,000.

Natural resources and mining added 6,000 jobs, while manufacturing added 4,000.

On the negative side, education and health services lost 23,000 jobs that month, while information lost 8,00 positions. Professional and business services lost 2,000 jobs, while other services fell 1,000.

The large company with more than 500 employees added 12,000 jobs a month. The company, with between 50 and 499 employees, hired 40,000 workers. Facilities with fewer than 50 employees added 11,000 jobs.

ADP data will be released previously Labor Bureau Non-farm pay reports are scheduled for Friday mornings and may vary particularly. Government data is expected to show an increase in positions of 130,000, below the reported 228,000 in March.
