Las Vegas police arrested an activist who climbed the Sphere on the Las Vegas Strip on Wednesday morning during the Super Bowl.
Maison Des Champs, known as the “Pro-Life Spider-Man,” was arrested by police after climbing to the top of the Sphere, one of the Las Vegas Strip’s newest attractions.
“The individual was subsequently taken into custody without incident,” the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Des Champs posted a video of himself at the dome on his Facebook page, explaining that he was doing it to raise money for homeless pregnant women.

According to her Instagram page, Des Champs is known for climbing skyscrapers and buildings to raise money for women in crisis pregnancies. His Instagram handle is “prolife.spiderman”.
LVMPD Sheriff Kevin McMahill addressed the incident during a Super Bowl safety press conference, saying, “We know people are going to test us. We know people are going to try something. I know that,” he said.
“As we sit here today, someone is climbing to the top of the sphere for publicity purposes. Your first responders are out there dealing with it. “We know that, and we’re going to deal with them as they come and make sure we have the safest Super Bowl ever,” McMahill said.

Super Bowl III will be held in Las Vegas in a few days.
“We appreciate the assistance of local authorities in this matter,” a spokesperson for Sphere Entertainment said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “The individuals involved are currently in LVMPD custody.”
Early Wednesday morning, Des Champs posted a photo to his Instagram Story of a banner that read “Abortion is Murder” and tagged the NFL’s official account.

Des Champs has previously completed similar climbs, climbing the Devon Tower in Oklahoma City in June 2022 and the Accenture Tower in Chicago in October 2022, each of which ended in a pregnancy crisis. It is being used to raise money for a certain woman.
Records show Des Champs was previously arrested in August 2021 for climbing at the Aria Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.
