Dozens of protesters supporting Mahmoud Khalil took over the lobby area of Trump Tower on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue on Thursday, calling for the release of anti-Israel activists who were detained over the weekend.
Protesters were wearing red and held signs that read, “Free Mahmoud, Free Palestine” and “Fighting the Nazis, not students.”
The NYPD was able to see multiple demonstrators carried out on Zip Ties.

Ice agents arrested Halil on Saturday at his university-owned apartment on the city's Upper West Side. According to Halil's lawyer, the agent told him he had revoked his green card and student visa.
The Jewish voice for peace said it helped organize the protest. The group's X account says its purpose is to organize Jews towards Palestine liberation and Judaism beyond Zionism.
