Pro-Palestine Protesters Gathered Outside Biden’s Fundraiser, Arrests Allegedly Made

A large group of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside President Joe Biden’s reelection fundraiser Thursday night, and authorities reportedly arrested some.

Video footage posted on Twitter shows protesters gathering outside Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan as Biden hosted a fundraiser with former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. is reflected. A large barricaded group and a line of New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers can be seen in front of the event space.

To the beat of drums, the crowd chanted “revolution,” “free, free, free Palestine,” and “Biden, Biden, we can’t hide. We charge you with genocide.” Placards could be seen throughout the crowd, some reading “End all US aid to Israel.” (Related: Biden visits New York for record-breaking celebrity fundraiser, same day Trump praises fallen police officer)

As the protests continued, another video captured a heated exchange between bystanders and activists. A male bystander told the demonstrator that he was running away to see his “dying mother,” but the demonstrator did not intervene as her mother waved in the air. More activists joined in to stop a male bystander from attempting to pass, until a male protester was seen pulling the bystander backwards and shoving him.

Several protesters then began shoving bystanders as someone off-camera told them to stop. NYPD officers then arrived, escorting bystanders, blocking protesters and telling them to “stand back.” Other intense footage taken during the event shows an Israel supporter walking through the crowd as activists taunt him and tell him to “fuck you out.”

In the third clip, the protests escalate and one of the protesters appears to be arrested by New York City police authorities. It is unclear from the footage what initially caused the crowd to swell, but the chaotic scene shows authorities forcing demonstrators to retreat to the sidewalk as many attempted to record protesters who were allegedly arrested. He is seen yelling for her to do so.

Biden’s fundraiser is expected to raise about $25 million that night, and will feature celebrities including Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo, Lea Michele and late-night host Stephen Colbert. People should also participate.

The Daily Caller has reached out to the NYPD regarding records of arrests made during the protests.
