At a violent anti-Israel demonstration in the heart of New York City, a pro-Palestinian demonstrator waved a burning American flag to cheers from fellow activists, while another set a counter-demonstrator’s flag on fire. Yet another protester shouted “Death to America.”
As demonstrators rallied on Monday, one demonstrator publicly lit an American flag on fire outside New York City’s Brooklyn Borough Hall building.

The short clip was posted by Katie Smith, a local independent reporter and photojournalist who covers protests and social movements in the Big Apple.
Another video shows pro-Israel counter-protesters waving American flags standing across from Palestinian supporters marching in front of the New York Stock Exchange, with one of them having the American flag snatched from his hands. .

Other footage shows pro-Israel counter-protesters lighting an American flag, which is then extinguished by police at the scene.

Demonstrations attacking Israel’s fight against Palestinian terrorists have long been accompanied by scenes of violence and rhetoric against the United States and its support for terrorism.

Those demonstrations began the night before at Columbus Circle and made their way to Grand Central Terminal, where protesters kicked in doors as law enforcement sheltered in place. The scene was reminiscent of a similar video of pro-Palestinian demonstrators burning American flags in January.
