Pro-Palestinian protesters surrounded police outside the Israeli Embassy in Mexico City on Tuesday, hurling stones and bottles and setting fires on the embassy grounds, according to reports.
Footage of the unrest showed protesters trying to tear down metal fencing erected around the embassy, and at one point a fire was set on the compound. according to To hill.

According to the Associated Press, about 200 protesters Attacked Six police officers outside the embassy were injured.
Mexico City police, dressed in riot gear and carrying shields, used tear gas on protesters.

The protests came shortly after an Israeli military attack on a Hamas position near the Rafah refugee camp, after which fire appeared to spread inside the camp. Israeli officials said: investigating The Israeli military believes the fire was accidentally started by an IDF tank firing on a Hamas munitions depot near the camp, but denies that it actually attacked the camp itself.

“We are investigating all possibilities, including the possibility that the attack may have ignited weapons stored in a facility next to the target.” Said Israeli military spokesman Major General Daniel Hagari said this, according to Reuters.
White House spokesman John Kirby said the incident did not cross any “red lines” for President Biden.
“Obviously this has tragic consequences and it needs to be investigated. We need to know why this could have happened even using a small calibre precision-guided weapon, but we need Israel to get to the bottom of it,” Kirby said. Saidby New York Post.
