A memorial honoring the slain conservative activist highlighted impressive stream numbers.
Reportedly, figures were shared shortly after the event wrapped up.
According to the executive producer, the event’s streaming partners recorded over 100 million streams dedicated to Charlie. “This is what we know. It’s likely even more. Over 100 million have heard the message being proclaimed multiple times after the speaker,” he mentioned.
Some users noted that the number of viewers could be larger since many families watch together.
“It’s definitely more. My family and I watched it together. All those streams are probably counted as just one,” one user commented.
Charlie Kirk, who was only 31, was tragically shot during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on September 10. He leaves behind his wife Erica and two small children.
Tens of thousands gathered at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for the memorial, which is quite significant considering Kirk’s death occurred only 11 days prior.
During the memorial, former President Donald Trump promised that Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, would emerge “larger and stronger than ever.”
“Charlie’s presence is even more impactful now than it was two weeks ago. He may not be with his loved ones, but his legacy continues to grow,” Trump stated.
“He is eternal and he’s looking down on us. It’s a great crowd here today.” The president also announced that Kirk would be posthumously awarded the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The president concluded by recognizing that Charlie Kirk “created something special” with Turning Point USA and reaffirmed his commitment to its growth.
