‘Propaganda Arm’ of Hamas in U.S.

A lawsuit filed this week by seven Israeli victims of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attack accuses U.S. groups such as Students for Palestine, who are active in many campus protests, of Hamas’ propaganda role. He claims to have fulfilled his mission.

of complaintThe lawsuit, filed in federal court in the Eastern District of Virginia in Alexandria, is filed by the AJP Educational Foundation, also known as American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), and its offshoot National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP). However, the plaintiffs, who are victims, survivors, and relatives of the victims of the October 7th attacks, are acting as the “propaganda arm” of the U.S. terrorist organization Hamas, and the “propaganda arm” of the U.S. terrorist organization Hamas, and the They are seeking damages for “pain and suffering.” NSJP claims to have provided “material support” to Hamas through its advocacy efforts.

As Breitbart News reported in October, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) celebrated the October 7 attack as the beginning of the end for the Jewish state and issued a “toolkit” to activists on campuses across the country. distributed.

That “toolkit” is a key feature of the complaint as evidence of a concerted effort by AMP, NSJP, and SJP affiliates to support Hamas’ genocidal efforts by undermining American public and government support for Israel’s self-defense. forming a part.

The indictment traces Hamas’ history of terrorist financing in the United States, alleging that AMP is “simply a reincarnation” of the indicted organizations in the past, operating with the same people and objectives.

Adding further:

AMP’s message to college campuses through NSJP is clear. Violent attacks are a legitimate response to Zionism as an idea, Israel as an entity, and Zionists as a people. The purpose of this message is to not only legitimize the terrorism of Hamas and its affiliates in Gaza within Western academia and society at large, but also to demonstrate that violence against Jews and other Israeli actors is acceptable and justified. It is also about establishing an environment that allows for interpretation. Or even heroic.

Defendants provide ongoing, ongoing, systematic and material support to Hamas and its affiliated organizations in exactly the same manner. [their banned predecessors] Intended Use: By operating and managing Hamas’ mouthpiece for North America, dedicated to sanitizing Hamas’ atrocities and normalizing its terrorism.

The defendants have consistently responded to mass protests and calls for support from Hamas and its allies. In fact, the defendant appears to almost always respond to calls from Hamas, and Hamas continues to express the organization’s gratitude to him.

The complaint also links these groups to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and its call to action.

It also says that “camping” movements across university campuses are part of Hamas’ propaganda efforts.

The complaint looks forward to a First Amendment defense to the lawsuit’s claims, saying the issue is not political speech or advocacy, but rather material support for terrorism and its propaganda purposes in the United States. There is.

The case is Pariser et al. v. General Incorporated Foundation AJP Educational Corporation et al.Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria District, No. 1:24-cv-00724-RDA-IDD.
