Incident at Super Bowl Halftime Show Involving Palestinian Flag

The individual who brandished a Palestinian flag during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl has been identified as Anton Antonio Brown, who was reportedly shot last month.

Brown is said to have a warrant out for his arrest related to attempted murder. Zulu Kalnain Kwame Nantumbu, who was supposed to be a backup dancer for Lamar, told authorities that a bullet grazed his neck, as per reports.

Interestingly, during the performance, instead of dancing, Nantumbu took the chance to display his support for Sudan and Palestine. He was arrested recently on charges of resisting police and disturbing the peace by interrupting a legal gathering, which has drawn connections to the ongoing investigations.

Louisiana State Police noted that while Nantumbu had permission to be on the field, he was not authorized to act as he did. The incident in question took place outside a boxing match in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood, with the warrant indicating it occurred on May 16.

Earlier, it had surfaced that Brown seemed to have been involved in a larger scene at the boxing event, which included videos shared online. In one clip, he appeared to be in a confrontation as chaos unraveled, culminating in gunfire that prompted attendees to flee.

Brown’s tumultuous involvement took a turn when Nantumbu’s name came to light. In response, he denounced Nantumbu on social media, labeling him a scam artist and alleging prior thefts, dating back to a 2022 incident. He claimed Nantumbu previously threatened him during an event in May, insisting that media portrayals had misrepresented his side of the story. Brown insisted he was defending himself.

A warrant indicates charges of attempted gun murder against Brown, who has managed to post a $10,000 bond but is still facing demands for house arrest until the trial. Miami police had received reports of gunfire in the early hours following the boxing event.

The protest coincided with President Trump attending the Super Bowl, marking a notable moment since it was his first attendance at the event. He had earlier expressed controversial ideas about taking control of regions in the Middle East.

During Lamar’s performance of “TV Off,” Nantumbu raised the flag and ran across the field before security officers stepped in.

Nantumbu was eventually removed from the field by security guards after making several attempts to return.
