A review of psychiatric evaluation documents from Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) revealed that Audrey Hale, the 28-year-old transgender woman who killed six people at a Nashville Christian school, had thoughts of “shooting a lot of people.”
The VUMC documents were reportedly reviewed by Nashville Metropolitan Police Department officials on June 1, 2023.
According to the Tennessee Star, the document Indicated Hale “had thoughts of killing his father … and was struggling with his mental health.”
The documents also stated that Hale had “recently had thoughts of breaking into the school and shooting multiple people.”
It’s unclear when Hale was seen at VUMC, but the Star wrote that “she left the care of her initial psychologist in 2019 and began receiving care from other mental health professionals at VUMC.”
On June 8, Breitbart News reported that Hale had planned to kill his father after killing six people at Covenant School in Nashville on March 27, 2023. In interviews with police and the transgender parents after the attack, the father was told that Hale had planned to slash his father’s tires to stop him from leaving the school after the attack so that he could rush to the school and kill his father.
