Pug’s Dramatic Meltdown Over Pup Cup at Wrong Place Invokes Petition for ‘Starbies’ Run

There isn’t a dog around who’ll turn down a delicious Starbucks “pup cup,” especially Chloe the Pug. They’re her favorite snack in the whole world. But when Mom takes the excited girl to a different drive-thru where pup cups don’t exist, Chloe’s epic meltdown ensues, and it’s like a toddler who didn’t get her way!

The fact that dogs not only know when you’re pulling up to their spot but also come to expect a tasty treat every time they get into the car is diabolical. They’re too smart! Watch as Chloe gives the sobfest of a lifetime over this drive-thru mix-up.

Mom Grace Marie (@geemariee__) is probably used to these little tantrums by now, and based on other clips (like this one), Chloe’s a big fan of barking what’s on her mind. She may be small, but she has a lot to say when it comes to her beloved whipped topping treat. Her little whimper, complete with a dramatic huffing and puffing, is adorable!

This video blew up fast with thousands of people begging that Mom take this poor Pug baby for a Starbies run STAT!

“Go and get that dog a pup cup now!” one person wrote. “Go to Starbucks and give her that pup cup NOW!” another added, and many more comments stated the same with the majority petitioning “Justice for Chloe!”

Though the suspense was high, everyone who became invested in the Pug’s pup cup status will be relieved to know Mom did take her after the fact. In this follow-up video, fans can go along for the ride and watch as Chloe forgives Mom as she chows down on her yummy treat. So, everyone—you can rest easy tonight! Chloe’s been vindicated!

The Appeal of Pup-Cups

Anyone with a dog knows the gift a pup cup represents. It’s everything a pup could want: sweet, cold, flavorful and most of all—it’s not an everyday thing so getting one makes them feel a little more special.

According to Sploot Veterinary Care, pup cups are fine in moderation and in conjunction with an already healthy diet. Just like with humans, this high-sugar snack should be consumed once in awhile and not an every day event.

But that’s what makes the lightly flavored whipped topping so exciting! And, though it’s not officially a menu iten, in most locations it’s free, making it splurge-worthy without breaking the bank.

And obviously, if your dog has a sensitive stomach, this wouldn’t be the best option. Frozen fruit or a little peanut butter in a Kong would be just as yummy.

Though Starbucks is known for crafting the OG “Puppuccino,” many places offer something similar, whether it’s a little whipped cream in a cup or even vanilla ice cream. Based on Chloe’s utter devastation after realizing she wasn’t in line for her coveted treat, pup cups are king. What better way to spoil the family pet than this?!
