Team Rules Matter for Everyone
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua found himself in a bit of a situation after the team’s substantial win against the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday. The 24-year-old receiver, who just had a standout performance, decided to go live on Instagram in the locker room—a direct violation of team rules.
During this livestream, he was confronted by a teammate, whose name hasn’t been revealed, about his decision to broadcast. The discussion soon turned into a verbal back-and-forth when Nacua refused to end the stream.
“Hey, bro, stop streaming,” one teammate urged. “Brother! Please don’t live stream from the locker room.”
Nacua, seemingly confused, replied, “Huh? That’s not true.” The teammate pointed out, “What do you mean it’s not? I’m looking at it.” Nacua then shifted his tone a bit, insisting, “I know, but it’s not about everyone. Nobody’s here yet, damn it. Nobody’s butt cheeks are on camera, dude. Calm down, oh well.”
“It doesn’t matter!” another teammate shouted as Nacua walked away. This exchange left some fans questioning if the team’s superstar felt he was above the established rules.
Social media reactions varied. One fan expressed admiration for his skills but noted that Nacua seemed a bit immature after witnessing his behavior in the viral video. Perhaps the recent display of confidence came from his impressive stats—seven receptions for 167 yards, two touchdowns, and an outstanding PFF score of 97.4. That’s quite a feat, really.
Regardless, the Rams, now at 10-3, will want to move past the awkward incident as they gear up for a critical end to the season. They currently share the top spot in the NFC West with the Seattle Seahawks. The team next faces the Detroit Lions in Los Angeles on December 14, followed by a matchup against the Seahawks in Week 16.
