State Department’s Take on America’s Role
During a recent appearance, Tommy Piggott, the assistant deputy spokesman for the State Department, emphasized that “America doesn’t mean America alone.” This statement came in response to a conversation with Matthew Boyle, the Washington Director for Breitbart News, who noted that America’s original stance was one of isolation. Piggott concurred, arguing that this perspective is fundamentally incorrect.
“Having a strong America means it benefits our interests first, but it also benefits our friends and allies,” he explained. He added that his point aligns with the current administration’s approach to foreign relations, allowing the U.S. to identify common interests more effectively.
Piggott credited the president as a skilled negotiator, emphasizing his honesty and willingness to engage in tough conversations. He remarked, “He’s not afraid to meet people who pursue peace, and he is also not afraid to call those who need to be called.”
The discussions, he argued, should be transparent, highlighting that a strong America leads to a safer world. “The stronger America is, the safer the world is,” he concluded.
For those interested, Breitbart News is scheduled to air on SiriusXM Patriot 125 from 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturday.
