Quentin Jammer Stirs Controversy Again

Quentin Jammer is back in the limelight, and not necessarily for the right reasons.

Just days after revealing that he played in an NFL game while drunk, Jammer caught attention once more by urging Bijan Robinson to take back his apology for using a gay slur.

In a post on Page X, Jammer reached out to Robinson, stating that the running back’s use of offensive language during Prime Video’s postgame show—after the Falcons’ win over the Buccaneers—was perfectly fine.

“Lil brother, there was nothing you said wrong or offensive,” Jammer noted. “Just a quick Google search for the definition might help. Society is weak! Stand up and take your power back. Show them what strength really is!”

Robinson had previously used the phrase “smearing the QR” to describe how Atlanta’s gameplay felt like a backyard football match. He later apologized for the backlash that followed.

“I want to apologize for the insensitive comments made on the air. It was just a football game from our childhood, but that’s no excuse,” Robinson stated on the X show. “I acknowledge my mistake and will work to improve my behavior. My words did not represent my true beliefs. I sincerely apologize to anyone I offended.”

After addressing Robinson, Jammer reiterated his position in a follow-up post, asserting he wanted to “bring back desecrating Q—R!” and concluded with, “Make America tough again!!”

Jammer initially stirred up controversy when he admitted to playing some games during the 2011 season under the influence of alcohol.

A former teammate, Sean Merriman, expressed his shock at Jammer’s admission but praised him as a “great teammate,” adding, “He was always working hard and was definitely one of the most physical players I’ve ever known.”

Jammer, a former first-round draft pick, had an NFL career that spanned from 2002 to 2013.
