Quinnen Williams shares his thoughts on the Jets' updated locker room: 'It's really great'

The Jets players got their first look at the revamped locker room when they arrived for training camp on Tuesday.

“It’s amazing,” commented veteran defensive tackle Quinnen Williams. “It’s really nice. The upgrades are fantastic. The new chairs are super comfy and attractive.”

The team really stepped up its game with the locker room and surrounding areas.

They even added a barbershop and upgraded the old lockers to high-tech ones, which now have video screens, increased storage, and leather seating.

Williams pointed out that this renovation shows the commitment from owner Woody Johnson and the organization, something the players truly value. But there’s more to it than just aesthetics.

“It’s great to see them pushing forward,” he said. “It’s not solely about the locker room. You’ve got to look at how they’re compensating players and enhancing facilities. You can really feel their efforts. Woody and this organization want the team to thrive, both on the field and off.”

Williams also praised director Aaron Glenn, likening him to the legendary Bill Parcells and noted how he admired the stories he’d heard about Parcells’ successful methods.

“I never got to meet Bill Parcells,” Williams admitted. “But I’ve heard so many stories. It’s fascinating to see someone embody the tales I’ve heard, seeing what made Parcells successful and how he led his teams.”

The Jets also parted ways with Ol Obinna Eze on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the team is gearing up for their first training camp practice on Wednesday morning, following reports released on Friday.
