Quinton Aaron’s family has announced that the actor suffered a spinal cord infarction just days after it was revealed he had been intubated and placed on life support due to unexplained neck pain.
In a message shared with the public, the “Blind Side” actor’s family expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming support and prayers from fans and the broader community. They mentioned, “Just to let everyone know, he suffered a spinal cord attack. He is conscious, alert, and recovering.” They emphasized that the family has various matters to manage as Quinton continues to heal and promised to provide updates as necessary.
They also cautioned fans to seek health information about Quinton only from his official family members or publicist, Liana Mendoza, urging caution against believing unverified reports. The family’s statement insisted on the importance of respecting privacy and avoiding misinformation, suggesting legal action could follow if Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) violations occur.
Quinton’s wife, Margarita, confirmed earlier that he was placed on life support due to a serious infection. At that time, the cause of the infection was still uncertain, but Margarita remained hopeful, sharing that Quinton was a very strong fighter. During a visit over the weekend, she observed some slight responsiveness, noting, “At least I got a thumbs up from him, which I expected.” She continued to express optimism about his daily improvements.
