“This will be a little bit different than a traditional sideline reporter,” DeMita told Fox News Digital, “…and we’re also going to have a fun element to it.”

“I also produce a lot of content for social media. The media landscape has changed so much in the last few years that it’s important to know what the basketball audience, the Big 3 audience, wants to see and what gets them excited. What are some of the little questions we can ask? What behind-the-scenes content can we provide that will interest the audience and make them more interested in the players, the coaches and the league culture?”

DeMita said he first learned about the BIG3 league when Allen Iverson was a player-coach for Three’s Company during its inaugural season in 2017. Since then, the Ice Cube-founded league has seen a string of basketball legends come and go.

Lieberman and Leslie are some of the women participating in the 3-on-3 league., Lieberman became the first female coach to win a championship in 2018. Leslie followed suit in 2019.

Demita said she was excited to be working with the pair.

“I first met (Lieberman) at the draft. Obviously I knew about Nancy. She’s a legend, the best player to come out of ODU. One of the reasons I chose it in the first place was because it was so cool. And honestly, when I met her, I was like, oh, she’s still a basketball great. You get that vibe from people. And Nancy was like, if she had the shoes, she would have laced them up and gone out on the court.”

“Leslie is also a part of the BIG3. It’s great to see these women who have such an impact on the basketball world join our team and have success in the league.”

The 2024 season kicks off on Saturday in Oakland, Calif. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
