‘Racial justice’ and ‘equity’ equal death in George Floyd country

Let's say the lies and ambiguity surrounding George Floyd's death in May 2020 were true. Let's assume that Mr. Floyd really died at the hands of a white Minneapolis police officer and was not the result of an overdose of fentanyl or other drugs that led to cardiac arrest. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that for every black suspect killed by a white police officer, far more white victims die at the hands of career criminals who also happen to be black. It is a fact.

Consider the case of Meredith Martell, who was stabbed to death in her home last month by Jamel Hill-Moore and then shot to death by a police officer. There are no marches demanding “justice for Meredith,” no political pressure to lock up career criminals like Hill Moore before they strike again.

But the same Minnesota judge who sentenced former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin to 22 years in prison in Floyd's death put Hill-Moore's two domestic violence convictions on hold earlier this summer. , it is a tragic fact that he was set free by the butcher Martell.

All in the name of “equity” and “racial justice.”

The overwhelming majority of murders in America are committed by career criminals who have committed violent crimes in the past but received light sentences.

That was apparently the case in Ryan County, Minn., where on Dec. 17, officers responding to a domestic disturbance call found Hill-Moore on top of Martell and stabbed him repeatedly. The officer first ordered the suspect to drop the knife. He then attempted to fire a Taser at the man. Finally, the officer fired two shots at Hill-Moore, killing him.

In a speech at the National Judicial College, Judge Cahill claimed that he got little sleep during the Chauvin trial due to the stress of the national spotlight. He must be losing sleep over Meredith Martel.

Hill-Moore was a repeat offender with a penchant for what he allegedly did on the night of December 17th: domestic violence. It turns out Hillmoore was first charged in January 2023 in Lyon County with a felony count of domestic assault. A month later, he was charged with felony domestic assault and violating a Hennepin County no-contact order.

Hillmoore was twice sentenced to 21 months in prison. But in May, Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill suspended the prison sentence and gave Hill-Moore three years of probation. A month later, Lyon County Judge Tricia B. Zimmer suspended the remaining 21 months of his sentence.

There's no doubt about it. If not for Cahill's actions, Meredith Martel would still be alive today.

Cahill is the same judge who presided over Derek Chauvin's murder trial. He allowed all violations of legal process, evidentiary standards, and jury selection to be carried out over the defense's objections.

The judge refused to admit exculpatory evidence showing that Floyd died of a drug overdose and did not suffer even a minor injury to his neck. Chauvin is currently incarcerated in an Arizona prison where common criminals have access to him and another inmate nearly stabbed him to death last year.

This complete perversion of justice based on racial outcomes is what Cahill calls “racial justice.” In a lecture he gave at the National Judicial College in October 2022, Cahill argued that “every case” should be “about racial justice.”

It is the height of irresponsibility for judges to evaluate criminal cases based on the racial composition of victims and perpetrators rather than facts and evidence. But the truth about race and crime perverts justice and obscures reality. The entire George Floyd story has given our justice system the impression that crimes against black people by white people, whether by police or civilians, go unpunished, and that the real victims are black criminals. Gave.

it's a lie. The white police officer It's not an unreasonable killing of black people.. According to Heather McDonald of the Manhattan Institute, “Since the George Floyd race riots, black boys have been shot and killed at 100 times the rate of white boys. These Black victims were not shot to death by alleged American white supremacists or police; they were killed by other Black people. They are being shot at a rate equally disproportionate to the proportion of the Black population.”

For every case in which a black victim is lawfully killed by a white officer or civilian, there are dozens more cases in which black criminals kill white victims, such as in the Hill-Moore and Martel cases. Too generous Based on the race of the murderer.

The numbers say it all. As McDonald pointed out, non-fatal interracial violence incidents are seven times more common than black-on-white incidents. “In 2021, 87% of non-fatal interracial violent crimes between blacks and whites in the United States were black-on-white, with 480,030 incidents in which a black perpetrator was a white victim. , 69,850 incidents involved white victims,” she wrote. Criminals and Black Victims. ”

Obsessive racism focused on skin color over justice, “fairness” over crime prevention, and abolishing police and prisons instead of punishing career criminals, at least according to the It is said to be the leading cause of death for black men under the age of 10. to the Centers for Disease Control. The homicide rate for black men between the ages of 18 and 34 was 17.7 times higher than the homicide rate for white men of the same age. It is this highly racist justice system that perpetuates a culture of violence that harms people of all races, especially Black Americans.

It is clear that enforcement and sentencing will be applied more proportionately when violent crimes occur. The only way to eliminate the disparity in homicide victims is to eradicate the “racial justice” that perpetuates an unchecked criminal class in black neighborhoods.

In a racist speech at the National Judicial College, Judge Cahill claimed he got little sleep during the Chauvin trial due to the stress of the national spotlight. He must be losing sleep over Meredith Martell and what will happen when he faces a divine judge who knows only justice, not racial perversion.
