Radical Anti-Israel Official Resigns from Biden Administration over Gaza

Lily Greenberg Cole, a member of the radical anti-Israel group If Not Now, resigned this week from her high-level position as special assistant to the chief of staff at the Interior Department over US support for Israel and Hamas.

IfNotNow has a history of providing moral support against terrorism. The organization has also participated in many of the violent anti-Israel protests that have taken place over the past few months, including the occupation of an office building that is part of the U.S. Capitol. IfNotNow supports Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who are known for their anti-Semitic and anti-Israel positions. Jewish groups have also been targeted in protests.

Associated Press report Mr. Kohl resigned, emphasizing his Jewish identity but downplaying his ties to If Not Now, an extremist fringe organization on the fringes of the Jewish community.

the hill report:

Lilly Greenberg Cole, a political appointee in the Office of the Secretary of the Interior, resigned in protest, joining a handful of other middle-ranking and senior officials who have voiced opposition to U.S. support for Israel in the war.

It is not clear how Cole was recruited to a high position at the Interior Ministry in the first place.
