A black-owned radio station based in Philadelphia. worddecided to “part ways” with the host after revealing that he had been given a list of pre-determined questions by the White House ahead of his interview with President Joe Biden.

Andrea Lawfull Sanders told reporters on Saturday that the president’s team had sent her eight pre-approved questions to ask Biden ahead of his interview on “The Source.”
Lawful Sanders also said he “approved” four of the questions and used them in his first interview with the president since his poor performance in last month’s debate.
Topics discussed included Biden’s record in debates, his performance in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, the impact of the election, and advice for Americans considering abstaining from voting in the presidential election.

Lomax continued to stress that the station remains an independent audio radio station and that agreeing to a pre-approved list of questions “endangers” the trust listeners have placed in it for 20 years and undermines the station’s mission of “holding elected officials accountable.”
“This is something we take very seriously,” her statement read. “This practice of delegitimizing Black voices continues today. WURD Radio does not speak for Biden or any other administration. Internally, we will work to review our policies, procedures and practices to strengthen WURD’s independence and trust with our listeners. However, mainstream media should also self-reflect and explore how they have lost the trust of so many Americans, particularly Black Americans.”
Her resignation came after a similar admission by another local radio host that he had been forewarned about the questions Biden would be asked when he was interviewed days after the presidential debate. Earl Ingram, a radio host from Wisconsin, said: ABC News He said he was given five pre-prepared questions to ask Biden during a recent conversation, but was unable to finish them all before the interview ended.

Meanwhile, Biden campaign spokesperson Lauren Hitt flooded Twitter to defend the decision to send out pre-approved questions and repost each other’s posts making light of the situation.
