Rafael Nadal drops out of US Open after disappointing run at Paris Olympics

“Hello everyone, I am writing today to let you know that I have decided not to play in this year’s U.S. Open, a tournament that holds great memories for me,” he said in a post on X.

“I will miss the exciting and special evening sessions in New York. [Arthur Ashe Stadium]” , but I don’t think I can give 100% this time. I especially want to thank all my American fans. I will miss you all, but I hope to see you again someday. I wish you all the best for the always great US Open!”

Nadal said he plans to next play in the Laver Cup, which runs from September 20-22 in Berlin.
