Raiders cut Isaac Rochell after recognizing brother’s Air Force service

Talk about bad timing by the Las Vegas Raiders social media team.

The team had to make a roster change to accommodate newly acquired cornerback Jack Jones, and on Tuesday the team waived defensive end Isaac Rochell.

While Rochelle lamented the fact that she was cut, she also enjoyed it a little.

Just hours before the move occurred, the Raiders posted a video and article about Rochelle’s X, talking about her brother’s contributions to the Air Force.

After announcing the news of his release on social media, Rochelle took the opportunity to tease the whole story.

“Objectively, this is really bad timing,” Rochelle captioned the repost of the video.

Rochelle “found humor in the situation” and explained how November 14 was an unlucky day for her.

“Because this date, for some reason, Mr. and Mrs. Rochel don’t like,” he said in a TikTok video. “I woke up this morning and saw this on my timeline. Last November 14th, I was released by the Browns, and I looked at my wife and she said, ‘One year ago today, I… I thought it was amazing that he was released. And then I received this text. That must be a joke. ”

Rochelle managed to keep things upbeat by ending the video by saying she’s “excited for the next chapter” in her life.

A defensive end can be claimed by another team.

Rochell earned the win against the Jets in Week 10, but has played in eight games with Las Vegas this season, including one start.

He recorded 10 tackles and was on the field 33 times on 120 defensive snaps and special teams.

Rochell, a former seventh-round pick of the Chargers, is in his seventh season in the NFL.

His best season was 2018, when he had 29 tackles and five sacks.
