The Las Vegas Raiders ended the 2023-24 season on a high note.
After going up with a record of 5 wins and 8 losses, they won 3 of their final 4 games and finished with a respectable record of 8 wins and 9 losses, scoring 63 points (!) in one game and making it to Christmas Day. They upset the eventual Super Bowl champion Chiefs.
But they wanted to shake things up during the offseason.
So in recent months, the Raiders have officially promoted Antonio Pierce from interim manager to head coach, signed quarterback Gardner Minshew and defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, and tight end Block Brock, who is expected to start next season. They drafted Bowers.
And yes, burgeoning quarterback Aidan O’Connell and standout stars Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby will be back as well.
There’s a sense of optimism in the air in Sin City thanks to adjustments made during the offseason.
“…A new era of Raiders football begins now.” sports illustrated I have written.
