Raiders Hope for Quick Recovery for Jeanty

The Las Vegas Raiders are anxiously awaiting news regarding their star running back, Ashton Jeanty. During practice on Sunday, he appeared to suffer a leg injury and required assistance to leave the field, unable to put any weight on his right leg.

This incident occurred when Jeanty leaped to catch a pass during a team drill, and he remained down on the turf until help arrived. The atmosphere in the indoor practice facility shifted dramatically to silence as concern for him grew.

The entire team gathered to kneel and offer prayers for their teammate’s recovery.

So far, the Raiders have not issued any updates about Jeanty’s condition. Head coach Klint Kubiak is set to address the media on Tuesday, which leaves fans in a bit of a waiting game.

Jeanty, having just come off a promising rookie season, has seen limited play during the preseason. In the team’s first game against the Arizona Cardinals, he managed only three carries for 16 yards, and he did not participate in the following game against the Houston Texans.

Drafted sixth overall from Boise State last year, Jeanty made a significant impact despite playing behind a less-than-stellar offensive line. In 17 games last season, he managed to rush for 975 yards with five touchdowns and caught 55 passes for 346 yards, scoring another five times through the air.

Should Jeanty need to take time off, the Raiders would likely rely on fourth-round rookie Mike Washington Jr., along with Dylan Laube, undrafted rookie Roman Hemby, and Dare Ogunbowale. Washington had already been working with the first team prior to Jeanty’s injury, benefiting from a solid training camp.
