Ram reenters the NASCAR Truck Series in 2026 through a partnership with Kaulig Racing

Kaulig Racing to Team Up with RAM in NASCAR

NASCAR is seeing an exciting new partnership as Kaulig Racing, a burgeoning team, has confirmed their collaboration with Ohio-based entrepreneur Matt Kaulig’s racing outfit. This marks the return of the RAM brand to NASCAR, starting with the 2026 Artisan Truck Series.

The Artisan Truck Series will kick off its season at the Daytona International Speedway on February 13, 2026, with up to five RAM 1500 trucks expected to compete. Kaulig Racing, which began its journey in the Xfinity Series back in 2016, has been building a legacy over the last decade rooted in performance and community values.

Kaulig expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “This partnership is not just about racing; it’s about shared values and making a difference.” He’s proud of what his team has accomplished and views this venture as both an honor and a responsibility.

Interestingly, the Dodge brand had a hand in establishing the truck series before stepping back in 1995. RAM had significant ups and downs, having closed its shop in 2013 and been inactive until now. The announcement of its return, made at Michigan International Speedway, has stirred up excitement and curiosity among racers.

There’s a palpable buzz in the garages of NASCAR, as teams speculate about who will represent RAM. Matt Kaulig, reflecting on the speculation, noted, “Everyone is trying to guess who the new team will be. It’s been a whirlwind.”

RAM CEO Tim Kuniskis emphasized the need for a partner that truly embodies the RAM ethos, highlighting Kaulig Racing’s unconventional approach as a strong fit. Ty Norris, the Chief Business Officer of Kaulig Racing, brings over three decades of NASCAR experience and acknowledges that their unique strategies resonate with fans and competitors alike.

Norris shared, “When I first met with Tim, it was clear that we shared a vision for how we can engage with the NASCAR audience.” He believes that Kaulig’s innovative style will bring something fresh to the table.

Reflecting on the team’s rapid growth, Kaulig said, “We started without even having a race shop. To now, we’re staking our claim among top-tier competitors.” With 27 Xfinity wins and two Cup Series victories under their belt, the team has proven its mettle.

Kaulig declared, “It’s a lofty goal to compete at all levels in NASCAR history.” The synergy between Kaulig Racing and RAM seems promising, as Kaulig humorously noted, “It’s all about American pride.”

This “Kaulig Way”—their distinctive approach—sets them apart. Team President Chris Rice elaborated on their motto: “If you’re not evolving, you’re stagnating.” He sees the partnership as a chance to put Kaulig Racing on the map.

As they prepare for the challenges ahead of the new truck series, Rice emphasized the importance of teamwork, saying, “Everyone contributes; it’s a family affair.” They are clearly committed to making a splash in 2026 and beyond.

Kaulig can hardly contain his excitement, viewing this as more of a thrilling adventure than a burden. “It’s refreshing to build a business in this way and share that journey with our team,” he stated.

In conclusion, as they gear up for the upcoming season, the sense of family and fun in racing remains at the forefront of their mission. The team hopes to return to the winner’s circle and initiate a new era in the truck series. “We are focused on racing and the joy of competition,” Rice added, underscoring their commitment to success.
