Rampage Jackson’s Son Arrested After Wrestling Incident
Raja Jackson, the son of former UFC champion Rampage Jackson, has been arrested following a violent incident involving a live-streamed wrestling match. This occurred last month when Raja entered the ring and assaulted professional wrestler Stuart Smith, known as Syko Stu.
The gruesome details of the attack were shared widely online after being broadcasted live. According to reports, Raja was seen delivering around 20 punches to Smith’s head after the latter had gone unconscious.
Police have charged Jackson with a felony, and he is currently held on a $50,000 bail. Following the attack, Smith reported severe injuries, including significant head trauma, tears to his upper lip, and fractures to his upper jaw.
Knokx Pro Entertainment & Academy, the organization involved, condemned Jackson’s actions in a statement shared on Facebook. They emphasized that this kind of violence is unacceptable and not characteristic of their 17-year operation.
In a surprising twist, Rampage Jackson claimed that Raja was provoked when Smith struck him earlier in the day, leading to a breakdown of the planned performance that had been agreed upon. Rampage defended his son, stating that Raja, being an MMA fighter and not a professional wrestler, misjudged the situation, thinking that Smith’s actions were part of the show. He expressed his disapproval of Raja’s behavior, stressing he never condoned such conduct.
Known for his past as the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion from 2007 to 2008, Rampage Jackson has also made a name for himself in professional wrestling and acting. He notably played BA Baracus in the 2010 remake of “The A-Team.”
