There may be several family businesses at the root of the potential Rams and Matthew Stafford split.
Colin Cowherd said “a pack” at his show. The Rams front office is tired of all the stories surrounding Star Quarterback along with his wife Kelly, and they're on her podcast and how they criticize the Rams front office, they handled the decision I did.
“The Rams are like Matt Stafford, but they're talking constantly about quarterbacks. His wife is telling things publicly,” Cowhard said Thursday on his show. Ta. “They're not really happy that they're public with what Coopap was trying to quiet. They're a bit of a bit of a top Coopap, and then a bit of a Matt Stafford. They like him, They don't want to restructure his deals and give him a new contract.”
Kelly has previously been extremely critical of the Rams front office for his decision to move on from Kupp this offseason.
“I honestly didn't intend to discuss this, but why, why not?” She said on her podcast “The next morning.” February 6th. “My husband wants to win. He's not trying to put his team in a bad situation. If you're catching my drift, you're catching my drift.”
“What about Cooper's deal? …I'm confused because we were one play away from going to the NFC Championship. I have to be a dog in this situation – I'm I want him to respect him that he deserves. I love the city of LA for what it is said… I love adventures.”
The Rams say they don't intend to move him at this point, but the team reportedly calls on Stafford regarding his availability.
Still, Cowherd relayed a strange trade scenario that combined the Giants with Stafford.
Some have refuted the idea that Stafford would ask for a No. 3 pick to get.
“The Giants, on the other hand, don't like the quarterback (draft) class, and head coach Brian Daball and GM Joe Shane need to win. “So I think they'll make a move on Matt Stafford.”
The Giants are still in the recruitment of the 2025 NFL Draft class, looking at Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward and Jaxson Dart as potential choices.
Stafford, 37, is in the midst of negotiations with the Rams, arising from last season when he couldn't find a solution.
If Stafford and the Rams break up, Cowherd assumes that the Rams should chase Aaron Rodgers as a stop-gap option.
