The Los Angeles Rams are planning to develop a $10 billion neighborhood by revitalizing a once-thriving shopping mall.
This new area, known as Rams Village at Warner Center, will span 52 acres in Woodland Hills. The aim is to create a vibrant community hub that includes open spaces for pedestrians, housing, retail shops, restaurants, a hotel, office space, and the Rams’ corporate headquarters along with their training facility.
The site previously hosted The Promenade, a mall that opened its doors in 1973 but later struggled to attract shoppers. Demolition of the mall began in January and wrapped up by August.
“Rams Village at Warner Center aims to enhance Woodland Hills by serving as a lively gathering spot, featuring publicly accessible areas, new entertainment options, and a mix of shops and residential units,” said Rams owner Stan Kroenke.
He added, “It’s a significant opportunity to create a vibrant destination and establish the Rams’ permanent headquarters in Los Angeles, and we’re eager to collaborate with the city to make this vision real.”
Construction is set to start in 2027, with the overarching project projected to span about a decade in phases. Rams Village will encompass more than 5.2 million square feet and is expected to exceed a $10 billion investment, while retaining both outdoor training fields as part of the headquarters.
Additionally, a 150,000 square-foot indoor practice facility with seating for 2,500 will be central to the training complex.
The development plan for Rams Village includes over 3,100 homes—comprising apartments and live-work units; two indoor entertainment venues with capacities for 5,000 and 2,500 respectively; nearly 2 million square feet of office, retail, and hotel space; a 182-room hotel; and more than nine acres dedicated to public space.
