The Gabe Perreault Era in New York is set to begin.
After his sophomore season at Boston College lost to Denver in the NCAA Regional Finals on Sunday night, Perrow has been discussing signing an entry-level contract with the Rangers and is scheduled to be in New York on Tuesday, Post's Larry Brooks reported Monday.
“He's too smart for college hockey,” as one college coach put it in the post.
Welcoming his offensive talent, Perot quickly became a top prospect for the Rangers after the organization drafted him 23rd in 2023.
Hinsdale, Illinois, made his name for himself in BC and the last two world junior championships. There, Perot played a key role in history in the first set of Team USA's consecutive gold medal victories.
After finishing second in Division I with assists (41), in his freshman season with fourth in points (60) (60), Perreault was named CCM/AHCA second team All-American, Hockey East Second Team All-Star and New England All-Star. He actually scored at least one point in 30 of the 36 games he played.
Despite a slight drop in his production in the 2024-25 campaign, 48 points (16 goals, 32 assists) in 37 games – Perreault, alongside Ryan Leonard, is one of the most dynamic lines in the NCAA, predicting 2025 NHL Draft, one pick in the NHL draft at James Hagens.
