Rangers’ lineup musical chairs has only brought out Mika Zibanejad’s best

Mika Zibanejad's season is certainly confusing. That's especially true these days.

Butto enters a break for the four countries to play his best Hockey of the Year. If the Ranger is going to climb into a playoff position, it is a necessary development.

Zibanejad took part in the break after scoring 16 points in the last 5 games, including eight points in the last 20 games, tallying just 21 points in the first 35 games of the season.

Zibanejad provided goals and assists in Saturday's 4-3 victory over the Rangers' Blue Jacket.

“It's not perfect since January 1st, but I think it's been a lot better,” Zibanejad said after a 4-3 victory over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. “I think there was a commitment to playing winning hockey, but I feel like it's coming. …Today, I thought we were on it from the beginning.”

Since the Rangers acquired JT Miller in a blockbuster deal with the Canucks at the end of January, director Peter Rabiolet has shifted Zibanejad into the lineup.

The Nature Center, Jibanejad, was a major part of his career, moving to the right wing on the first line in the Miller Handling Center duties. It quickly paid dividends and sparked Zibanejad.

However, during Saturday's victory, Rabiolet returned Zibanejad to the center, but became the third line with Chris Kreider and Arthur Kariev.

Jimmy Vicy, who was a healthy scratch in nine straight games before Adam Edstrom's lower body injury, encouraged him to return to the lineup, moving all the way to the first line on the right field, and Miller went to center On the other hand, wings.

However, the move does not seem to bother Zibanejad, who scored goals and assists during that victory.

“I thought all the lines were going,” Zibanejad said on Saturday. “Everyone contributed to them [own] method. That was big. ”

Still, it was clear that Miller's ferociousness offered new dynamics that would help bring out the best in Zibanejad.

I don't know if Laviolette will return to that composition, or if he will return to the configuration he unfolded on Saturday, or if the break is unclear.

“He's a good mix of skill and playmaking abilities, and obviously he can score on his physicality in Forecke, and how he sometimes plays north,” Zibanejad said last year in Miller. I said it week. “It's a little more freedom and it keeps happening a little more.”

During this eight-game tear of Zibanejad, he also received an increase in playing time.

He played 22:18 during the team's defeat to the Penguins on Friday – his second in his 21:03 in his second season, the team's victory over the Golden Knights on February 2nd –

“When you play, I think you just know that you have confidence in one bad change,” Zibanejad said last week. “You just keep playing. Try to think the same whether you play 20, 25, 50 minutes or not. But I'm not going to say no to any more ice time. I think so.”

And this is not a break for Zibanejad – he plays a leading role in Sweden. Zibanejad can help boost that confidence even further.

“There's a lot of pride,” Zibanejad told Post's Molly Walker about playing for his national team. “The first dream you have as a child [is] Play for your country representing your country. As a kid, it wasn't that much NHL exposure like it has been recently, so seeing the national team play every year and watch the World Championships is something you'd been looking forward to, That's what I was dreaming about. It's very special. ”
