The Rangers regained a good name by turning the season around in January. However, the season is long. And it was too long for the Rangers who are once again tainting themselves to put the perfect bow on 2024-25.
The Blues Shirt approached the Tuesday night garden match as if it were a preseason match in September and not a key playoff race. Getting a consistent 60 minute effort seemed too much to ask.
Certainly, this 2-1 loss to the flame, which represented the club's sixth loss in the last eight games (2-4-2), reflects one of the club's sly, most released performances of the season. The Rangers couldn't play any easy games. They were unable to organize the attack. They made a terrible error on both ends of the ice.
And the energy meter was empty. The playoff chase is attracting some of the worst of this group. This seems like a pure drunk for a ranger who has come out of the second wildcard spot and falls into the playoff world.
