Ranking the top special teams players in the 2025 NFL Draft

Post’s Ryan Dunleavy will provide top five kickers, punters and returners in this year’s NFL Draft, based on ratings and conversations with people in the league.

Kicker

1. Andres Borregales, Miami, 5-11, 199

The Venezuelan-born brother of former NFL kicker Jose Borregres. He converted 86% of his career field goals, including 18 of 19 last season, including 75% of 50 yards or more. The mechanics look the same every time. You won’t fall into pressure.

2. Ryan Fitzgerald, Florida, 5-11, 193

The perfect 13 seasons in 2024 included 59 yards to 59-5, 59 yards. You may need to pair it with a punter who handles kickoffs. He joined Kaden Davis as a senior bowl kicker. He overcame an early career struggle to lead the ACC in points in 2023.

3. Tyler Loop, Arizona, 5-11, 191

It converted 83.8% of his career field goals, including 62 yards of program records last season. He was inconsistent as a senior, only putts (126-128) who missed five field goals and two careers. The strength of the legs to force the touch back freely.
