According to Lt. Col. Bree Pham, who was just featured in Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit, the future is transgender.
“Inclusiveness is a national security imperative,” Pham said. “We fight today, and we will fight in the future with the power of our brains, and those brains ([that’s] (It's going to revolutionize the way we fight in space, the way we fight in cyber) You should want all of them to serve alongside you, just because they happen to be transbodies… We want those perspectives to be We need it, but what really drives that is inclusion. ”
But if transgender people “don't feel safe to speak up, if they don't feel safe to bring their whole selves to work, then we won't get the value of diversity. , for us, it's absolutely important “to drive our future success as an organization and potentially on the battlefield,'' Pham added.

“It makes me feel safe,” Keith scoffs.
“You want to involve all these stable people in the biggest military decision on the planet,” Pat added wryly.
