FIRE ISLAND, NY – A rare marine phenomenon has been captured on stunning aerial footage off the coast of Fire Island, New York.
Nature photographer Michael Bush's captivating videos showcase a wide variety of marine life in their natural habitat, including schools of athletic tuna, playful dolphins, and majestic humpback whales.
Bush observed surprising interactions between these species.
“The dolphin was swimming right in front of the whale and appeared to be guiding it towards (food fish),” he said.
As Bush's drone flew overhead, he saw three humpback whales simultaneously leap out of the water and devour tonnes of food.
The fish we feasted on was Atlantic Menhaden, also known as Bunker Fish.
