Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) refused to condemn the rape and sexual violence committed by Hamas in its war against Israel, but voted for the only overwhelmingly bipartisan resolution in the House on Wednesday. He is a member of the Diet who has not.
Trave I voted He “attended” a bill introduced by his Democratic colleague, Rep. Lois Frankel (D-Fla.), to condemn Hamas’ numerous documented sexual crimes.
This rare bipartisan bill, along with Tlaib’s shocking “Now,” received 418 yes votes and zero votes against.
Tlaib said the resolution “comes far short of acknowledging Palestinian sexual abuse.”

In remarks on the floor of the House of Representatives, Tlaib said, “Today’s resolution on the floor rightly condemns all sexual violence committed by Hamas, but it also condemns the sexual violence perpetrated by Israeli forces against Palestinians, especially children.” I am disturbed by the complete disregard and erasure of sexual violence and abuse.” ”
In the wake of the terrorist organization’s unprovoked attack in October 2023, horrifying evidence of crimes committed by Hamas against Israeli prisoners has come to light, drawing worldwide condemnation.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota) – After a video was released in which Rep. Ilhan Omar appeared to tell a Somali-American that “America is not the top priority in this administration,” Somalia faces accusations that it is threatening to “kow in to Somalia’s interests.” But Somalia did not vote.
