Rashida Tlaib says Democrats stood with ‘the fascist side’

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) said she was “completely heartbroken” by Democratic lawmakers who voted to censure her over her comments about the Israeli-Palestinian war.

The Michigan representative spoke to MSNBC's Joy Reid and described himself as someone who wants peace and likes to discuss issues “heart-to-heart” with colleagues.

“Even after we had a heart-to-heart conversation, I didn’t know they were going to stand on the fascist side of the aisle and silence the only Palestinian American,” Tlaib explained.

It cannot be gained by silencing people,” the lawmaker argued.
