As President Joe Biden’s reelection effort becomes embroiled in a post-presidential debate political storm, Democratic Rep. Raul Grijalva of Arizona suggested Biden should drop out of the presidential race.
“What he needs to do is take responsibility for keeping that seat, and part of that responsibility is to withdraw from this race,” the congressman said. The New York Times.
According to the outlet, Grijalva described former President Donald Trump as an “anti-democratic, autocratic tyrant,” but called Biden a “good man” and said he would support him if he continued in the election.
“I intend to fight this race to the end and win.”
Democratic Rep. Lloyd Doggett of Texas called on Biden to drop out of the race.
Democratic Rep. Jared Golden of Maine said he thinks Trump will win the election.

But Biden, who is seen as the presumptive 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, has signaled he has no plans to drop out of the race.
