Ravens’ Lamar Jackson consoled Mark Andrews before breaking down

Lamar Jackson acted like a true leader even at the lowest point on his team.

Jackson and the Ravens suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Bills in the AFC Divisional Round on Sunday. Mark Andrews dropped a catch late in the fourth quarter that would have tied the game for a two-point conversion.

Thanks to Tuesday's episode of “Hard Knocks: Season of the AFC North,” video from the sideline of the moments after the drop was released.

Video and audio showed Jackson comforting a distraught Andrews after it quickly became clear the Ravens would not be able to get past Buffalo.

“It's all of us. We're a team, brother, we're a team,” Jackson said. “It's all of us, brother, not just you.”

In the locker room after the game, Jackson himself expressed disappointment at missing out on what would have been a 2024 rematch with the Chiefs for the AFC title game.

Instead, the Ravens were sent packing early, and the weight of that seemed to sink into Jackson.

“I don't mean to linger, but I just know what this kind of game is like. That's why I kept saying, 'Oh, yeah.' I'm angry, brother. It’s not okay,” Jackson can be heard saying in the audio before a clip of her holding her head was shown on the HBO show.

Jackson won MVP twice this season and has a third chance, but he has yet to win the NFL's most coveted team award and once again fell short of a Super Bowl appearance.

He finished the game completing 18 of 25 passes for 254 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and 39 rushing yards.

But despite Jackson's solid performance, Josh Allen and the Bills will have a chance to beat the two-time Super Bowl champion Chiefs on Sunday.
