Reasons for RFK Jr.’s ex-running mate’s opposition to Casey Means as surgeon general

On May 7, 2025, the White House unexpectedly revoked Janet Neshwatt’s appointment as the US Surgeon General, with no formal explanation provided. There’s chatter that her staunch advocacy for the Covid-19 vaccine and her conservative stances on gender identity could have influenced this choice.

That same day, President Trump introduced Dr. Casey, highlighting her “perfect ‘Maha’ qualifications” and her involvement in the “healthy again in America” initiative.

However, Nicole Shanahan, previously associated with Health and Human Services Director Robert F. Kennedy Jr., expressed dissatisfaction with this selection.

During an appearance on “The Glenbeck Programme,” she aired her major concerns regarding the appointment.

“Casey Means is tied to biometric harvesting businesses and has close relationships with major data firms in Silicon Valley,” Nicole noted. “I know some of these individuals, and having them in a governmental role is concerning.”

She elaborated that biometric harvesting can include a variety of data, from “heart rate information” to “data collected through devices like Fitbits or glucose monitors,” and even “DNA collection.”

“Maha emerged from the need for medical freedom and to safeguard against conflicts of interest in government,” Nicole continued. “We must prioritize finding individuals for government roles who uphold the values of this nation.

Glenn, reacting to Nicole’s remarks, noted her tweet from May 7th.

“Oh!” Glenn remarked. “When I spoke with the twins during the Covid era, they certainly saw both sides—the good and the bad. They seemed optimistic about Covid and the vaccine.”

“They shared a compelling narrative with me. I used to be a fan of the Means,” Nicole recalled, reflecting on “New Research” and the significant concerns expressed within the Maha community regarding the transition team.

Nicole concluded by saying, “I hope to see truth, integrity, and dignity restored in our healthcare system.”

If Dr. Casey’s appointment goes through, can she genuinely achieve that? Nicole thinks it’s possible, but she reiterates, “There are better candidates out there.”
