Reasons to Support ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ from the Trump Administration

White House Advocates for Comprehensive Bill Highlighting Tax Cuts

The White House has outlined five main reasons for lawmakers to support a significant legislation package, prominently featuring tax reductions.

On Friday afternoon, the Trump administration announced the removal of illegal immigrants from Medicaid, emphasizing tax reforms, initiatives to bolster President Trump’s border security efforts, modernization of air traffic control, and halting tax funds for child gender transition procedures.

Regarding taxes, the administration promotes the legislation as a means to establish permanent reductions, suggesting that the average American could save an additional $5,000. The bill includes a pledge to eliminate taxes on overtime and tips and aims to decrease taxes on social security benefits for seniors.

For workers earning between $30,000 and $80,000 annually, the proposed bill suggests a tax reduction around 15% based on its current version.

A second reason the administration offers for backing the legislation is its provision to remove approximately 1.4 million undocumented immigrants from Medicaid.

Thirdly, the initiative is said to effectively address issues at the southern border.

The proposed legislation outlines substantial border enhancements, including a 701-mile primary wall, a 900-mile river barrier, a secondary barrier of 629 miles, and a 141-mile barrier for vehicles and pedestrians. The administration claims that advanced technology will ensure the security of communities for years to come.

Additionally, the White House asserts that the bill will provide necessary resources to border patrols and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), aiming for the annual deportation of at least one million individuals. It also plans to hire 10,000 new ICE officials, 5,000 new customs personnel, and 3,000 additional border patrol agents.

Finally, another supporting point for the legislation includes significant enhancements to the air traffic control infrastructure, along with provisions to block Medicaid funding for gender transition treatments for minors.
