Country superstar Reba McEntire has denied an online rumor that she called fellow singer Taylor Swift an “entitled brat.”
Over the weekend, an article went viral claiming that McIntyre had harsh thoughts about the “Shake It Off” singer, reportedly calling her an “entitled brat.”
In an Instagram post over the weekend, Reba shared an internet post in which she allegedly yelled at Taylor Swift after they performed the national anthem when she met her at the Super Bowl earlier this year.
“Then I let her have it. She’s a natural brat,” Reba was quoted as saying.
Reba slammed the rumors and even praised Taylor Swift, calling her an “amazing artist.”
“Don’t believe everything you see on the internet. I didn’t say this. Taylor is an amazing artist, a strong role model, and has done so much good for so many people and the music industry. ” she wrote.
It should also be noted that Reba’s name was misspelled in the original post, reading “McIntre” instead of “McIntyre.”
Comments on social media were generally positive for the country musician, with the majority saying they never believed the rumors in the first place.
