Reba McEntire’s co-star Christopher Rich credits singer for acting return after stroke

Christopher Rich praised Leva Manteia for returning to acting after spending nearly a decade from the spotlight.

Rich, 71, who starred alongside the country music star in “Leva,” appeared on February 21st on Mcentire's new show, “Happy's Place.”

“I mean, I basically took a break from the last 10 years,” Rich said. Entertainment of the night. “And if someone is going to drag me out of the dark corner of the closet, it's going to be a redhead.”

Rich took a break from acting after suffering a stroke in 2018.

“I've been recovering from the strokes, so in many cases I didn't even want to leave the house,” he explained to the outlet. “but, [McEntire and Melissa Peterman] It put me back on. They invite me to parties and reunions…”

Rich and Mantery admitted that they spent a lot of time watching football together with her Rexlyn at the country music star's home.

Peterson and McEntire were “they were there from the start,” Rich said earlier. People Magazine.

“I mean, they came to my hospital bed. They sent me a gift,” he explained. “Melissa came and was always bringing me treatment in the hospital,” he shares. “And she was a very great supporter.”

Just before the stroke, Rich appeared on “Christmas Trap” in 2018. He appeared as a tattoo artist in 2021, after playing a role in “Spiked” and in the episode of “Happy's Place.”

Stroke left Rich, who could not use the left side of his body. However, through physical therapy and rehabilitation, the actor was able to learn to walk and speak again.

“It was a long journey,” Rich told people about his recovery. “You know, I liken it as if I climbed up to the marble facade of a building with your claws.”

“You make small progress, but you don't get too high up there.”
