Rebel Wilson Injured While Filming ‘Bride Hard’
Rebel Wilson recently shared a surprising and somewhat alarming experience from the set of her new film, “Bride Hard.” In an interview, she described how her nose was “split open” during a fight scene. The incident occurred when a gun accidentally slammed into her face, which sounds quite intense, honestly. “It was just an extraordinary accident,” Wilson explained, recalling that this mishap took place on her last night of filming.
This moment unfolded during what she referred to as the “last battle sequence,” and it led to quite a scene—there was a “pool of blood,” which, yikes, must have been quite alarming. “I’m getting crazy,” she said, emphasizing how urgent the situation felt. Thankfully, paramedics arrived quickly, and if they hadn’t, she believes the injuries could have been much worse. A plastic surgeon was called in for stitches, and she seems to reflect on this experience as one that could have had lifelong repercussions.
Interestingly, Wilson isn’t the only one in Hollywood discussing on-set injuries. Charlize Theron also opened up about her own experience while filming “Apex.” She suffered a painful injury after opting to do dangerous stunts without harness assistance, which is, well, rather brave—or reckless; maybe both. “It’s actually a miracle that I’m here today,” she noted. That’s a strong statement, right?
Theron went on to describe the physically demanding role she took on, mentioning how she wrapped up filming just a week ago. “I still have Australian stains under this pretty manicure and my cute boots hide my broken toes,” she said, showing a bit of humor amidst the chaos of her injuries. It’s clear both actresses are committed to their craft, even when it means putting their bodies at risk.
Despite the setbacks, Theron conveyed that her filming experience has been one of the most incredible of her life. There’s something to be said about the resilience required in the entertainment industry, don’t you think?
